"Mommy Connie"

As some of you know Brent's Mother died of lung cancer. Brent and I talk to Maddie all of the time about her Mawmaw Connie, but Maddie insists on calling her Mommy Connie. Maddie is named after her and so is Tucker. As soon as we drove in the driveway at Mawmaw Lib's house Maddie said "Yeah, we are at Mommy Connie's House". We had to explain that Mommy Connie lives in Heaven with Jesus, and we promised that we would go give Mommy Connie some flowers while we were there. I think that Maddie loved this more than anything else about our trip. We hope that "Mommy Connie" is one of Maddie's angels that is with her all of the time. We miss her so much and know she would be so proud of both of her grandchildren.

Mommy Connie's new flowers. Aren't they georgeous!

Maddie and her Uncle Tony. I have to say there are times when I don't know if she loves him or me more. She LOVES her Uncle Tony.
While we were in North Carolina for Memorial Day we also had a family reunion on Brent's side
This is all of the grand-babies and great- grand babies on Brent's Mawmaw Lib's side.(Brent's Mom's mom). In all There were about 75 at the Hatley Family Reunion and 35 of them were our family.

Our new Puppy, Candy!!!!!!!!!

This is the newest member of family, Candy. She is 3/4 blue heeler and 1/4 australian shepherd. she is the sweetest puppy and loves Maddie. Maddie loves her too.

Tucker is all boy, he did not flinch one time when we started the mower. He loves it!

Tucker pulled up on the dishwasher by his self for the first time. He is finally crawling on all fours instead of his belly too. I thought he was going to skip crawling on all fours and go straight to walking there for while.
I usually do not post naked pictures but I could not resist. This was not posed by the way. I just caught them both standing there like that and could not pass up this picture moment. This will definately be on a picture slide show at both of their weddings.

He just could not take it anymore and it was only 7:00 p.m. I am so lucky to have 2 really good sleepers.
Maddie loves to push Tucker around in her stroller and Tucker seems to like it too, so what the heck, as long as they don't get hurt. Tucker was strapped in but it seems like he is a little Hudini and get out of anything, he is like a worm in hot ashes all of the time.

Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have been really busy lately so I will post some pictures ASAP. It just seems like when it rains it pours. I finally got my children well and my car breaks down so then we have to buy a new one which is not what our plans were. Does it ever work out the way you want it to, you know, no car payment. We were trying to do the Dave Ramsey thing and pay cash, but our car did not see it that way. Oh well, I think we have a pretty reliable one now so we can just start all over with Dave Ramsey's idea of paying cash next time. Anyway, like I said I will post pictures ASAP, that is one thing that I have not been slacking on since we have had such pretty weather lately we have been playing outside alot.

Tucker's first trip to hospital:(

On Tuesday of this week, Tucker woke up with a fever of 102. We thought it might be teething but that is just a bit to high for teething. We took him to see Dr. Ward and they told us that he had hand foot and mouth disease, he was cutting 3 teeth, and he had a slight ear infection. They gave us meds to numb his mouth so he would eat but it did not work. Needless to say, he got dehydrated and that landed us in Children's Hospital on Wednesday. They ended up giving Tucker about 8 oz of fluids through an IV. After he got the fluids he perked up and ate 8 oz of pedialite. We got to go home on Wednesday night and Tucker slept all night. Thursday Tucker was sooo much better. Here are some pics of his first IV and hopefully his last.

Just a swingin' and jumpin'

Maddie planted her first tree!!!

This past weekend Brent was off of work because we celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary. We spent most of the day on Saturday outside with the kids. Maddie decided that she wanted to plant "flowlers", so we let her plant her first tree. She wanted to put it right outside her bedroom window so she could watch it grow every day.

We love the spring weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
